Fermo & Porto San Giorgio
Residence Casabianca is located in Casabianca di Fermo, in the Marche region. Fermo, a city of history and culture, is situated on the highest part of the Girifalco hill, between the low valleys of the Tenna and Ete Vivo rivers stands majestically a great Cathedral dedicated to the Ascension of the Virgin Mary. The Girifalco hill, on which Fermo is perched, is marked by a park with centenary plants, offering one of the most beautiful panoramic backdrops on the Marche coast.
In Fermo, there is a historical centre of importance, which is definitely worth a visit. The alleys of the old town centre offer suggestive views of great beauty: all you need to do is admire the 15th century palaces and buildings of the Renaissance from which you can turn your gaze to the sea and the mountains. One of the landmarks of the city is Piazza del Popolo, where the sixteenth century Palazzo dei Priori is located, today the seat of the Civic Art Gallery. Also worth seeing are the Roman Cisterns, which are an intricate underground network used to collect and purify rainwater in the year 40 AD.

The Teatro dell'Aquila, one of the largest and most prestigious theatres in the Marche region, is also of great significance, while a few steps away are the Corso Cefalonia and Corso Cavour, where the most elegant and magnificent palaces of the city stand.
The coast offers a very clear sea and beaches full of services, from Casabianca, Lido di Fermo, Marina Palmense to Porto San Giorgio. This last locality, in particular, is a wonderful sea town with great traditions. There are long and beautiful equipped sandy beaches, but not only: Porto San Giorgio amazes with its historical centre and its Art Nouveau villas situated on the seafront. Strolling through the old town centre you will come across Piazza San Giorgio and then the Church of San Giorgio, in neoclassical style. In summer Porto San Giorgio is also host to many events, such as the Festa del Mare, where you can taste squid and the super-giant Pan of the Adriatic, a huge frying pan for the Guinness Book of Records where excellent fried fish is prepared!
